The MRV+ system is the scientific and digital backbone of the Waterships network. It ensures independent measurement, traceability and verification of environmental, climate and social impacts. Designed to meet the requirements of international certifiers, it enables the production of certifiable, audited data integrated into blockchain/NFT trust chains.
MRV+ covers the entire operational cycle: automated field‑data collection, climate modelling, hydric monitoring, agronomic analysis, independent audits and consolidation of evidence required for carbon certification.
Seahorse Manager is the network’s proprietary environmental‑traceability platform. It enables integrated management of reforestation operations, teams, plots, inputs and hydric flows, including SAP gelled water. Data is timestamped, secured, consolidated and exportable according to DNV requirements.
Critical metadata is anchored on blockchain to ensure immutability, transparency and independent verifiability. Each data unit may be associated with an NFT, providing timestamped proof of existence and an auditable trust chain for donors and certifiers.
The SAP Research Centre develops, optimises and scientifically validates SAP gelled water for reforestation, agroforestry and hydric resilience in arid regions. Work includes formulation, agronomic trials, hydric modelling and MRV+ integration.
The AlgaeSphere programme develops industrial photobioreactors dedicated to CO₂ capture and utilisation. Scientific models rely on advanced photosynthesis parameters (“the maximum photosynthesis rate […] is approximately 1.8 g/hour/m²”) and CO₂‑absorption equations (“0.772 × ka × […]”). Resulting data is integrated into MRV+ and is certifiable.
